The Embassy of the United States of America is pleased to announce that it is currently accepting applications for the Undergraduate Intensive English Language Study Program. The Undergraduate Intensive English Language Study Program is an eight-week intensive language course that takes places at colleges and universities across the United States. The program also provides participants with an introduction to American institutions, society and culture. This new program is for currently enrolled undergraduate students and recently graduated persons who demonstrate the potential to become student leaders, or who took on leadership roles during university.
This program will provide participants with intensive English language training, including English for academic purposes, as well as the development of general reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, and the testing of those skills. Students from Egypt will be placed at the University of Nebraska at Omaha from January 5 to February 27, 2009.
Applications are due to the U.S. Embassy, Cairo by October 15, 2008.
